Richard Schulberg

Executive Director and Secretary of the Board of Directors, International Sustainable Development Foundation

Rick Schulberg is responsible for the overall administration of the International Sustainable Development Foundation.

Immediately prior to his current position, he was the Director of the Industry and International Divisions for the State of Oregon Economic Development Department, responsible for business services including international trade and investment, environment and natural resources programs, small business, key industry, financial services and workforce training. He was also responsible for offices and representatives in Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Mexico City and Stuttgart. During his tenure, the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies recognized the Department as the “Outstanding Development Organization in the World.”

Previously, Rick was the Managing Partner of Rubicon International, a management-consulting firm with clients throughout the Asia Pacific.

Rick received his BA in Political Science from Portland State University and his MA in Russian and East European Studies from Yale University. He then conducted advanced graduate research at Columbia University and was a Fulbright Research and IREX Fellow at the University of Zagreb, Croatia in the former Yugoslavia.
